Dollar sentiment deteriorates on weak data

US dollar bearish bets jumped to $11.30 billion from $8.16 billion against the major currencies during the previous week, according to the report of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) covering data up to February 27 released on Friday March 2. The dollar sentiment deteriorated despite January Fed meeting minutes’ indication of further monetary tightening this year while durable goods orders and home sales fell in January.
